Strategic Partners
As the technology licensing office for the University of Southern California, the Stevens Center for Innovation (SCI) plays a key role in Southern California’s innovation ecosystem. SCI licenses USC discoveries to existing businesses or startup companies to develop them into products and services that improve human lives, solve problems, and fuel economic growth.
SCI’s mission is to maximize the translation of USC research into products for public benefit through licenses, collaborations, and the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation. Through licensing discoveries, promoting entrepreneurship, and stimulating innovation, SCI is helping to create a better future.
SCI serves as a university-wide resource that works to move the discoveries of USC researchers from the lab to the marketplace. It manages a broad portfolio of university-owned intellectual property stemming from more than $955 million in annual research expenditures.
The patents NeOnc has secured under an exclusive global licensing agreement with USC represent the university’s largest IP license of biotech-related patents for the development and commercialization of chemotherapies related to brain and CNS diseases.
