Patrick Walters

Chief Operations Officer

Patrick has over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operation. He is a respected financial leader overseeing various industries’ processes, projects, and staff. Patrick has a proven track record in guiding sizable, cross-functional teams in designing, redesigning, and launching cutting-edge business solutions that drive greater efficiency, engagement, and revenue in startups, national corporations, and single-family offices. Patrick is an alum of Deloitte & Co., where he earned his CPA license.

Here are some highlights of his career:

Sony Pictures Inc employed Patrick for 16 years as the Senior Vice-President of Operations, Worldwide Marketing. He co-managed projects and managed 27 professional and non-professional individuals in evaluating, designing, and restructuring five lines of the businesses’ marketing units worldwide. During this period, Patrick established a plan for the film industry’s first worldwide marketing department, with anticipated three-year savings of $50 million, and played an integral role in developing strategic focus and tactics. Senior management assigned him to manage a re-engineering television project following the project. The endeavor consolidated functions into a global marketing department, saving Sony $5 million.

Patrick was the Executive Vice-President of Finance for Modern Luxury Media LLC, a luxury magazine publishing company with a national network of 25 luxury magazines. He managed operational and financial activities, human resources, and legal and sales administration. During this time, Patrick built a financial and operational infrastructure and new reporting processes, which were integral in increasing the company’s enterprise value by $30 million. Then hired by Shamrock Holdings to facilitate growth to liquidate the company at a high multiple, Patrick was able to help in growing the firm 435% in 24 months, moving its valuation from $54 million to its sale price of $235 million in 2007.

Patrick served as COO for Nicholas Enterprises LLC, a family office of a Forbes 400 company with a net worth of $1.3 billion. He was directly responsible for all office operations, including business ventures, legacy businesses, real estate holdings, trusts, and foundations. Patrick oversaw day-to-day investment management operations, human resources, accounting, tax preparation, staff evaluation, and other functions. He was responsible for restructuring the office to use investment expense tax law resulting in $48 million in savings for the company.

Patrick studied at California State University, Northridge, where he received his BA in Economics and Accounting. For almost four decades, he has volunteered at First Entertainment Credit Union. This not-for-profit financial institution supports the entertainment industry and the community of Los Angeles with a more than 90,000 member base and more than $2B in assets.
