Alan Chiang, MD, PhD, MBA, FICS

Dr. Chiang graduated from Kaohsiung Medical College in Taiwan and then earned his Ph.D. degree in neuro-oncology at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. He also received neurosurgical training at Klinikum Steglitz, FU Berlin. Dr. Chiang earned his EMBA degree from National Taiwan University. He is currently an attending physician in the Department of Neurosurgery, at Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital.
Dr. Chiang is active in clinical neurosurgical practice and has interests in brain tumor operation and minimally invasive spine surgery. His major research fields are in the molecular biology of brain tumors, and in biomechanical studies on spine surgery. He has published several articles on brain tumors and spine surgery. He is a peer reviewer of several international journals and a primary reviewer for research proposals of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan. He is an international member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society and a fellow of the International College of Surgery.
